Oil painting links very different practices rather than defining a single Vancouver style. Vancouver-based Graham Watts uses it for cityscapes, mountain landscapes and wildlife. Collin Elder is documented as a Victoria-based landscape oil painter, while Kathleen Menges works with oil and cold wax in Abbotsford. The geography on each profile matters: the BC region is not interchangeable with the city.
